The International AIDS Conference, AIDS 2012, brought more than 23,000 medical professionals, advocates, policy makers, and people living with HIV/AIDS to Washington, D.C., from July 22-27 from more than 180 countries. From Commission on Smart Global Health Policy Wed Aug 1 2012, 13:21:35

It was with great pride, and great hope, that Chevron joined thousands of people and organizations last week at AIDS 2012, the 19th International AIDS Conference. During the time I spent at the conference, I heard the same questions many times: Why is Chevron here? What role does an energy company play in the fight against HIV/AIDS? I welcomed these questions. They give me an opportunity to talk about the critical role everyone plays in the global fight against this epidemic, including Chevron.
