Inflation Statistics - October 2009

The annual rate of inflation, as measured by the all items Consumer Price Index (CPI), decreased by 0.7 percentage points from 13.0 percent in September 2009 to 12.3 percent in October 2009. The decline in the annual inflation rate in September 2009 was "mainly due to the decrease in some food prices". More detail via the CSO October Bulletin.
