FYI for those of you in the Los Angeles area... When I saw the press release headline, I hoped that "first look" meant that the entire film would be screened at the festival; but it won't be unfortunately. Instead, 30 minutes of footage from the film will be showed. Both Urbanworld (September) and BronzeLens (October) both also showed a few minutes of footage from the film. I actually expected that it would first screen at a festival or 2, generating some pre-release buzz. But with AFI FEST being really the last major film festival of the year, that's obviously not going to happen.
