At the core of an efficient online learning experience is a robust infrastructure. Through our Education Go Digital program, we partner with universities and schools to address the infrastructure challenge through an Infrastructure Collaboration Agreement (ICA), a one time co-investment geared at rolling out new infrastructure or improving existing one.
In Africa, the Infrastructure Collaboration Agreement is offered to schools and universities in Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa and Uganda that have successfully deployed and adopted Google Apps for Education. Through the Education Go Digital program we have supported International University of Professional Studies, Strathmore University, Daystar University and St.Paul's University in their infrastructure build out.
More recently, the United States International University (USIU) received infrastructure co-investment to improve its campus network and provide a campus wide, wireless hotspot service. This project was completed in mid 2013 and has impacted more than 7000 students and staff. The University of Nairobi's Parklands School of Law received infrastructure co-investment from Google to roll out wireless connectivity at their campus, covering student hostels, lecture halls, library, recreation areas and staff residence. This project was completed in mid-2014 and will benefit more than 10,000 students and staff.
