Let's Talk 2013 Oscars - Surprises? Disappointments? Gaffes? Props? Ho-Hum? (Open Thread)

I had a bit of fun live-tweeting and *Facebooking* the Oscars last night, and I thank all of you who participated, and gave what could've been an otherwise dull evening, some life. The biggest surprise for me was all the recognition that Life of Pi received - especially Ang Lee winning for Best Director. I didn't see that coming at all! But it was a nice surprise. I was almost sure that it would go to either David O. Russell or Quentin Tarantino, and was glad that neither of them won it.
