Nate Parker is teaming up with Oscar-nominated documentary filmmaker Amy Berg, and writer-director Matthew Cooke to produce a documentary on what they're calling "the black male crisis" in America, that will emphasize the shooting deaths of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo., as well as other black men killed by police officers over the past few years, including Trayvon Martin, Eric Garner, Tamir Rice and more. To help finance the film, the filmmakers have set up an Indiegogo campaign to raise $25,000 by January 5, 2015, and have, thus far, drawn over $4,100.
