The Syrian ruins of ancient Palmyra have been one of the focal points where ancient ruins have found themselves in the midst of the ongoing civil war. The adjacent town (Tadmur) is in a region with several military bases, and there have been reports of danage to the ruins. This video purports to show shell damage to the Temple of Bel at Palmyra. There isn't really any narrative after the initial introduction other than a man saying "Allahu Akbar." Some reports have said there was a military position of some sort in the nearby medieval Arab castle. It really doesn't matter which side turns antiquities into battlegrounds: both Syria and the world lose either way.

Megalyn Echikunwoke (House Of Lies) and Cedric Sanders (10,000 Days) have both booked co-starring roles opposite Steve Zahn in the ABC drama pilot Influence, from Kyle Killen. Influence centers on the complex relationship between two brothers (one of them played by Zahn) - a bipolar genius and an ex-con - who solve their clients' problems using motivation and manipulation. Echikunwoke will play an actress who uses her beauty and acting skills to help the brothers with their schemes, while Sanders will play another member of the scheming team, who's from the hood, with raw talent to spare, which the brothers recognize and feel would be beneficial to their efforts.
