He had received countless awards from the district-level to Cafee Oromiya for his academic successes. He had been in jail from 2003-2006 due to his political views. Without giving up, after his release, he went back to school and continued his education till his arrest three days before his graduation in 2009. He has been a star student, and he had been hired by AAU as a professor before his latest arrest by Ethiopian government authorities. Taye is in prison since 2009.

The World Bank last week released the latest results of its Doing Business series. The report Doing Business 2013: Smarter Regulations for Small and Medium-Size Enterprises assesses regulations affecting domestic firms in 185 economies and ranks the economies in 10 areas of business regulation, such as starting a business, resolving insolvency and trading across borders. This year's report data cover regulations measured from June 2011 through May 2012. The Zambia report is embedded below. Unsurprisingly given the time frame coverage very little reform took place over the period due to elections and subsequent concerns.
